Celebrate St. Paddy's Day with this fun eucalyptus-scented four leaf clover soap. If you don't have the heart-shaped mold, you can follow the same general instructions with a loaf mold.
Life of the Party Products Needed:
- Heart Assortment Mold or Heavy Duty Reusable Loaf Mold
- Goats Milk Soap Base, 2 lb.
- Fragrance (Eucalyptus)
- Liquid Soap Color in Yellow, Blue, Green
- Coarse Salt (optional)
Items From Around Your House:
- Large microwave-safe measuring cups
- Plastic spoon
- Knife
- Kitchen scale (optional)
Directions:
- Cut soap soap base along scored lines to make cubes. Divide into two piles and melt according to directions on soap base label.
- Once melted, add fragrance of your choice to both cups. For this recipe, we used eucalyptus. We recommend using 1 to 4 drops per ounce of soap. Mix well.
- In one of the cups, add green color one drop at a time until you achieve the desired color.
- Add a few handfuls of course salt to the white soap base.
- Pour the prepared white soap into the loaf mold or heart mold until it is less than half full. Fill the rest of the mold with the green soap base. Swirl gently, being careful not to overmix.
- Spray any air bubbles with a spritz of alcohol.
- Allow soap to set until it is hardened and cool to the touch.
- Release the bars from the mold by applying constant, even pressure with thumbs to the backside of the mold.
