Shea butter is rich in vitamins and fatty acids that can help to nourish the skin. Our 2lb Shea butter suspension soap base is gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin types.
One of the main advantages of using this type of soap base is its ease of use. It is already in a solid form so you don’t need to handle lye or got through the saponification process that is required for making soap from scratch. You simply melt the soap base and customize it as desired before pouring it into your mold.
Suspension formula: Additives float evenly throughout your soap creation. Enriched with shea butter.

Water (Aqua/Eau), Propylene Glycol, Sodium Stearate, Glycerin, Sucrose, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sorbitol, Sodium Laurate, Sodium Myristate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Silica, Sodium Chloride, Stearic Acid, Lauric Acid, Titanium Dioxide, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Pentasodium Pentetate, Tetrasodium Etidronate
- Remove soap from storage container and protect your work area before cutting.
- Heat desired amount in microwave (30 seconds on high and then 10-second intervals until melted).
- Add your favorite color and fragrance.
- Pour into the mold and let cool (at least 40 minutes).
- Apply gentle pressure to back of mold to release.
CAUTION: Melted soap is hot!
